David and team developed a match-cast, segmental, post-tensioned, precast system and took 5500 m3 of complex RC off the critical path.
Each of the 4 new stations at Brisbane Cross River Rail has a circa 2m deep concrete mezzanine/plenum structure above the platforms, spanning 20m across the underground box and approximately 200m along its length.
The mezzanines are punctured at intervals for escalators, and were divided into 70 tonne segments measuring 1.2m long x 20m across, for casting off-site.
