Major building structural remedial works

An entire new wing of a partially opened commercial building was exhibiting significant structural distress. Whilst at Robert Bird Group David led the design of monitoring and strengthening; including safety critical installation methodology, hydraulic pre-loading and sub-millimetre monitoring. David personally oversaw the initial site works. This approach allowed the structure to be stabilised in place without demolition, minimising downtime and protecting commercial viability and reputation.
